The Corryvreckan takes its Gaelic name from the famous marine vortex that lies north of the island of Islay. This single malt unfiltered cold is the most turbid in the entire distillery line, produced in a limited edition.
TASTING NOTES
With an intense golden color, the aroma immediately reminds of fruity notes of apple and wild berries, which leave space to hints of peat, tobacco and spices. In the mouth it is full, very determined on fruity returns. The finish is almost creamy and very persistent.
DISTILLERY
Officially active since the middle of the first decade of the nineteenth century, from 1815 to be precise, the Ardbeg distillery, located in the heart of the Islay, was founded by John McDougall.
